Protected landscape area "Upper Orava" offers an excellent conditions for rest, recreation and sports during the winter as well as in the summer.

The countryside in this district is very interesting and offers a wide range of possibilities for tourists, skiers and enthusiasts of water sports. Tourists find here suitable grounds for walking and touring into the beautiful countryside. Region Orava offers amount of tourist traps as National Park Small Fatra, Western Tatras - Roháče, Babia Hora and naturally Orava Dam.

Boarding-house Kormoran is double-floured building with capacity of accommodation forty-five beds with possibility of additional beds.

On the ground floor of the building is situated a reception, restaurant with bar, kitchen and toilets. On the first floor are rooms and apartments and clubroom with biliards. On the second floor are next rooms and apartments and a smoking room. Most of rooms and all apartments have their own balcony. They are modern equipped with bathroom with shower and toilette, SAT-TV and CD recorder.

There are also parking place and a large tennis court for guests in the area of boarding house.

Restaurant with capacity of fifty seats is suitable for seminars, firm gathering, family celebrations and other events. The restaurant has own summer terrace with beautiful view of tennis-court, Slanicky Island of art and Orava Dam.
